Enviro News Asia, Jakarta – Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) is once again hosting the 2025 West Region Independent State University Entrance Selection Exam (SMMPTN Barat).
The exam is being held from June 17 to 21, 2025, at the UPNVJ Pondok Labu Campus in South Jakarta.
This year, UPNVJ is accommodating a total of 1,016 participants, divided into nine sessions.
The exam is conducted using the Computer-Based Written Examination (UTBK) system, supported by 120 computer units spread across three classrooms.
“UPNVJ is once again serving as a venue for the SMMPTN Barat UTBK. We have maximized our preparations in terms of facilities—from room comfort, computer units, readiness of proctors and technicians, to electricity and internet connection,” said Dr. Henry Binsar, UPNVJ Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, during an inspection of the exam site on Tuesday, June 17, 2025.
“We are ensuring everything runs smoothly to minimize technical disruptions during the exam,” he added.
Henry Binsar emphasized that ensuring comfort and a smooth exam process is a top priority, and participants are expected to take the test without technical issues or problems with personnel.
In terms of security, the committee has also implemented document verification and metal detector checks to prevent cheating.
UPNVJ’s New Student Admission Coordinator, Fajar Nugroho, stated that the exam’s implementation involves various campus elements.
“We’ve involved proctors, IT technicians, cleaning staff, electrical and security personnel, and the Public Relations team to ensure the entire process runs smoothly,” said Fajar. (*)
