Enviro News Asia, Jakarta –Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta (UPNVJ) has once again held the State Defense Exam, which is part of the Independent Selection (SEMA) process at UPNVJ.
The exam was conducted simultaneously online by 8,520 participants of the UPNVJ 2025 SEMA on Wednesday (June 25, 2025).
The purpose of the exam is to assess prospective students’ understanding of Pancasila, national insight, civic knowledge, and state defense values.
UPNVJ Rector, Prof. Anter Venus, emphasized that the State Defense Exam is not just a formality, but a part of UPNVJ’s commitment as a State Defense Campus.
“Through this exam, we aim to ensure that UPNVJ students are not only academically excellent but also possess a strong sense of nationalism, integrity, and awareness to contribute to national progress.
This is what distinguishes UPNVJ from other universities,” said Prof. Anter Venus in an official statement.
The exam consists of 100 multiple-choice questions to be completed within 120 minutes.
While the exam is conducted online by participants, supervision is carried out offline. Proctors are stationed across four monitoring rooms to handle participant issues and ensure the exam runs in accordance with standard procedures.
During the briefing, Fajar Nugroho, Coordinator of New Student Admissions, stated that this year there are 178 proctors, consisting of UPNVJ lecturers and education staff who are required to understand the guidelines and procedures of the State Defense Exam.
“I hope all proctors fully understand the latest guidelines and procedures so that everything runs smoothly. This year we have 178 proctors,” said Fajar.
Similarly, Dra. Intan Hesti Indriana, Secretary of New Student Admissions, emphasized that proctors play a crucial role in ensuring the exam runs as intended.
“Make sure all participants are present, always follow the applicable procedures, focus on supervision, and thank you for your contributions. Please carry out the responsibility entrusted to you with care,” she said.
Additionally, Lidya Primta Surbakti from UPNVJ’s Internal Supervisory Unit (SPI) reminded proctors to cooperate in maintaining a calm and conducive environment during the exam.
“One key reminder is to keep our voices down and avoid speaking too loudly, as it could disturb other proctors,” she added.
After the exam, participants can view the announcement of the results on July 4, 2025 at 3:00 PM WIB on the website www.pendaftaran.upnvj.ac.id. (*)
