Enviro News Asia, Jakarta – In welcoming the holy month of Ramadan, Sinar Mas and APP Group participated in the Ramadan Bazaar organized by the Ministry of Forestry at the Manggala Wanabakti Building, Jakarta. On this occasion, APP Group donated 500 copies of the Quran and provided 4,000 liters of premium packaged cooking oil at special prices for the public and employees of the Ministry of Forestry.
The event was attended by Mrs. Nurlaili Raja Juli Antoni, wife of the Minister of Forestry, along with the board members of Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) of the Ministry of Forestry, as well as the Director of APP Group, Suhendra Wiriadinata.
“I am grateful and would like to thank Sinar Mas and APP Group for participating in this bazaar through the provision of cooking oil and the donation of Qurans. This is certainly very helpful, especially for the employees of the Ministry of Forestry. I hope the donated Qurans will further encourage worship during Ramadan, especially since they are of high quality and include translations,” said Mrs. Nurlaili Raja Juli Antoni.
APP Group Director Suhendra Wiriadinata reaffirmed the company’s commitment to being present and sharing benefits with the community. “Our participation in this bazaar is a form of support for the Government’s efforts to ease the burden on the people while also embodying the spirit of sharing during Ramadan. The donation of Qurans is also part of our contribution to supporting Muslims in enhancing their worship during this holy month,” he explained.
This Quran donation initiative is part of APP Group’s commitment to meeting the need for Qurans in Indonesia and making it easier for people to read, understand, and practice its teachings. Since 2008, APP Group, through its Quran Waqf Program, has distributed more than 1.3 million copies of the Quran across Indonesia, including remote areas, as well as to educational, religious, and community institutions.
In addition to donating Qurans, the affordable cooking oil bazaar program initiated by Sinar Mas has been running since 2005, distributing more than 30 million liters of packaged cooking oil to the public.
The involvement of Sinar Mas and APP Group in this initiative is part of the company’s commitment to continuously supporting the Government and the community, especially during the Ramadan season.
