UPNVJ Strengthens International Collaboration with Walailak University

Enviro News Asia, Jakarta — Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta (UPNVJ) is strengthening its commitment to international education through continued collaboration with Walailak University (WU) of Thailand.

The two universities, which have been partners since signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in 2021, have engaged in several academic and non-academic programs.

UPNVJ Rector Prof. Anter Venus said that the collaboration has resulted in significant activities, including a Summer Course, Guest Lectures, Joint International Community Service, and other academic initiatives.

“The programs not only broaden the academic horizons of our students and faculty but also strengthen the relationship between our universities,” he said during a welcome ceremony for the WU delegation in Jakarta on Wednesday, August 28, 2025.

The official visit by the Walailak University delegation, led by WU President Prof. Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, served as a critical moment to deepen the partnership.

The two institutions discussed new collaboration opportunities, including joint research, student exchanges, integrated academic programs, and human resource capacity development.

The rector expressed his hope that the partnership would support UPNVJ’s vision of becoming a leading and globally competitive university.

With this ongoing collaboration, UPNVJ is optimistic about expanding its international network and strengthening its position as a competitive higher education institution on the global stage.

The long-term partnership with Walailak University is expected to be a key pillar in achieving this vision. (www.upnvj.ac.id)
