UPNVJ and JXUWP Plan Joint Research Collaboration

Enviro News Asia, Jakarta – The Faculty of Computer Science (FIK) at Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) is exploring research collaboration, conferences, and student exchanges with Jiangxi University of Water Resources and Electric Power (JXUWP), China. The JXUWP delegation, led by Vice President Lu Weifeng, was welcomed by UPNVJ Rector Prof. Dr. Anter Venus, M.A., Comm., along with university leaders at the Nusantara 1 Hall on September 17, 2025.

The meeting was attended by the Vice Rector for Planning, General Affairs, and Finance, the Head of the International Office, as well as leaders from FIK and the Faculty of Engineering. Discussions focused on strengthening academic networks in the field of information technology.

During the session, FIK Dean Prof. Dr. Ir. Supriyanto introduced the faculty’s profile and highlighted annual events such as the International Conference on Informatics, Multimedia, Cyber, and Information System (ICIMCIS). The JXUWP delegation expressed interest in participating as part of the Technical Program Committee, reviewers, or keynote speakers at upcoming editions.

Both parties also discussed student exchange opportunities. UPNVJ shared its successful experience with Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA), Malaysia, which has combined online and face-to-face learning since 2019. “This scheme received positive responses from JXUWP and holds potential for joint development,” said Supriyanto in Jakarta, Tuesday (September 30, 2025), as stated in UPNVJ’s official release.

Following the meeting, the delegation visited FIK UPNVJ laboratory facilities. This initiative is expected to strengthen strategic collaboration, including contributions to the development of Society 5.0 through joint research in informatics and water resources.
