Books Profit of USD 160.3 Million, Pertamina Geothermal Energy Expands Green Energy

Enviro News Asia, Jakarta – PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGE) (IDX: PGEO) is committed to continuing the development of green energy. This initiative aligns with the Indonesian government’s commitment to transitioning toward sustainable energy independence.

“We continue to strengthen our position as the leading geothermal industry player in Indonesia,” said Julfi Hadi, President Director of PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy (PGE), in an official statement this week.

Julfi Hadi explained that in 2024, PGE achieved its highest-ever electricity production and revenue, driven by improved operational performance across several geothermal working areas.

“This solid performance reflects our commitment to optimizing resources and enhancing our contribution to the national energy transition,” Julfi stated.

Amid industry challenges and global economic dynamics, PGE recorded revenue of USD 407.12 million in 2024, up from USD 406.29 million Sin the previous year, supported by increasing demand for clean energy in Indonesia.

According to the audited consolidated financial statements released to the public on March 25, 2025, PGE reported a net profit of USD 160.30 million in 2024.

Although slightly lower than the USD 163.57 million recorded in the previous year, PGE maintained healthy profitability, strong operating cash flow, and cost management efficiency.

Meanwhile, PGE’s Finance Director, Yurizki Rio, added, “PGE remains focused on prudent and optimal financial management to ensure sustainable investment in new geothermal project development and production capacity enhancement.”

PGE has undertaken various sustainability initiatives, including improving energy efficiency, reducing carbon emissions, protecting the environment, and implementing community empowerment programs around its operational areas.

The eco-friendly technologies adopted by PGE include real-time emission monitoring systems, optimized water utilization, and increased energy efficiency across all facilities.

The company is also actively involved in reforestation and ecosystem conservation efforts in its geothermal working areas, in collaboration with local communities and environmental organizations. *
