Enviro News Asia, Bogor – Minister of Forestry Raja Juli Antoni planted trees at the Mount Pancar Nature Park (TWA), Bogor Regency, as part of the Forestry Service Day 2025 commemoration.
The tree planting event, held on Friday, February 28, 2025, was attended by the Minister of Forestry along with Deputy Minister of Forestry Sulaiman Umar and senior officials from the Ministry of Forestry. A total of 300 saninten (Castanopsis argentea) seedlings were planted, while an additional 200 seedlings were distributed to local residents for planting.
Minister Raja Antoni emphasized the significance of anniversaries and Forestry Service Day. He described the occasion as an opportunity for reflection and evaluation.
“For me personally, an anniversary or Forestry Service Day, which we are celebrating together today, is actually a moment for us to reflect and evaluate what we have done over the past year and even in the years before,” Minister Raja Antoni stated in an official release in Jakarta on Friday.
Furthermore, Raja Antoni stated that those who become better on this Forestry Service Day compared to the previous one are truly fortunate.
“But whoever finds that their Forestry Service Day today is the same as the previous one, they are at a loss,” said the Minister. He also emphasized the need for continuous improvement in protecting Indonesia’s forests.
