Four Study Programs at UPN Veteran Jakarta Achieve “Excellent” Accreditation

Enviro News Asia, Jakarta – The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) of Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta (UPNVJ) has once again achieved a milestone by securing “Excellent” accreditation for four of its study programs. These programs are the Bachelor’s in Accounting, Bachelor’s in Management, Diploma in Accounting, and Diploma in Banking and Finance.

This accomplishment reaffirms UPN Veteran Jakarta’s commitment to maintaining high-quality higher education that is competitive both nationally and internationally. The “Excellent” accreditation was granted by the Independent Accreditation Institute for Economics, Management, Business, and Accounting (LAMEMBA), which since 2022 has replaced the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) for the field of economics, management, business, and accounting. The accreditation process involves a rigorous evaluation of curriculum, faculty quality, scientific publications, and student achievements.

Dean of FEB UPNVJ, Dr. Jubaedah, explained that this success is the result of long-term preparation involving the entire academic community of FEB. “Preparation began from the first year after the previous accreditation. We consistently maintained and monitored quality standards, provided swift solutions to any challenges, and ensured strong collaboration among all stakeholders,” she stated on Wednesday (September 3, 2025), as conveyed in UPN Veteran Jakarta’s official release.

FEB UPNVJ applies an Outcome-Based Education (OBE) curriculum, focusing on achieving learning outcomes that meet the needs of the workforce and global standards. “OBE ensures that students gain relevant knowledge, skills, and attitudes. This is one of the key indicators in the accreditation assessment,” Jubaedah added.

The accreditation process by LAMEMBA also posed its own challenges, particularly in meeting internationalization requirements. “At least 40% of faculty members must hold doctoral degrees, and we are required to produce a minimum of 10 publications indexed in Scopus, SINTA 1, or SINTA 2 each year. Additionally, we encourage foreign student exchanges and involve alumni working in international companies,” Jubaedah explained.

This achievement strengthens the position of FEB UPNVJ as one of the leading faculties. Out of eight study programs under FEB, five have now earned “Excellent” accreditation. Jubaedah targets that all study programs in FEB will soon achieve the same level.

“UPNVJ, especially FEB, offers high-quality education with ‘Excellent’ accreditation, which reflects the graduates’ ability to compete at both national and global levels,” she emphasized. (www.upnvj.ac.id)
