Enviro News Asia, Jakarta – Director General of National Export Development, Fajarini Puntodewi, was a speaker at the 2025 National Working Meeting (Rakernas) of the Indonesian Furniture and Handicraft Industry Association (HIMKI), held in Jakarta on Wednesday (February 19).
The panel discussion and Rakernas HIMKI aimed to provide participants with insights into policies and strategies for expanding export markets through new market penetration.
Director General Fajarini Puntodewi challenged Indonesian furniture and handicraft entrepreneurs to tap into the vast potential of exports. She stated that efforts to expand export markets require the optimization of trade agreements, various initiatives to enhance competitiveness, and support for increasing added value and product acceptance in international markets.
This year’s HIMKI Rakernas, taking place on February 19–20, 2025, carries the theme “Collaboration and Synergy Among Stakeholders to Expand Export Markets and Dominate the Domestic Market for Indonesian Furniture and Handicraft Products.”
Other speakers at the discussion included the Director of Forest Product Processing and Marketing Development at the Ministry of Forestry, Erwan Sudaryanto; the Director of Forest and Plantation Product Industries at the Ministry of Industry, Krisna Septiningrum; and the Head of the Center for Domestic Product Utilization Enhancement (P4DN) at the Ministry of Industry, Heru Kustanto. Also in attendance was the Director of Export Development for Manufactured Products, Deden Muhammad Fajar Shiddiq.
