Indonesia’s forestry sector faces complex challenges in managing forest area data, fragmented across multiple institutions, inconsistent in accuracy, and often disconnected from a unified national system.
These data gaps have contributed to tenurial conflicts, land overlaps, and public distrust toward forest information.
