Enviro News Asia, Jakarta – The Institute for Advanced Social, Science, and Sustainable Future (IASSSF) is organizing a scientific writing competition themed “Creating Impactful Solutions for A Sustainable World.” This competition is open to lecturers and students at the national level, as well as researchers and postgraduate students at the international level. The competition aims to encourage meaningful contributions in creating innovative solutions to address global sustainability challenges.
This scientific writing competition provides participants with the opportunity to contribute to sustainability solutions while also competing for exciting awards.
National category, the national competition is divided into two categories: lecturers and students. Lecturer category, participants can submit scientific articles with a maximum of three authors per article. Registration for the First Batch is open from March 1 to March 31, 2025, and the winners will be announced on June 9, 2025. Winning articles will undergo a peer review process from June to July and are scheduled for publication in indexed journals in July or August 2025. Besides cash prizes for winners, the organizing committee also provides free journal publication vouchers for all participants, e-certificates, and an opportunity to be a speaker in the IASSSF paper dissemination webinar.
Student category, this category is open to active students from Diploma (D3/D4) and Bachelor’s (S1) programs. Articles must be written in Bahasa Indonesia. Registration for Batch 1 is open from February 21 to February 28, 2025, and winners will be announced on June 9, 2025. The top three winners will receive cash prizes, certificates, and indexed journal publication of their work. The top ten finalists will receive journal publication assistance, while all participants will receive e-certificates and free journal publication vouchers.
International category, IASSSF is also organizing the International Scientific Writing Competition, open to researchers and postgraduate students from various countries. Articles must be written in English and should focus on sub-themes related to sustainability, including, Environmental Policy and Governance, Social and Cultural Dimensions of Sustainability, Innovation and Technology for Sustainability, Environmental Economics and Green Finance, Climate Change and Disaster Risk Reduction.
Registration for the international category is available in three batches. Batch 1: February 21-28, 2025. Batch 2: March 1-31, 2025 Batch 3: April 1-30, 2025
Articles must be submitted between May 1-14, 2025, with the judging process taking place from May 14-31, 2025. The finalists will be announced on June 3, 2025, and winners on June 9, 2025.
