Enviro News Asia, Jakarta – Indonesia’s Ministry of Forestry has once again received an Unqualified Opinion (Wajar Tanpa Pengecualian/WTP) from the country’s Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) for its 2025 financial statements, reaffirming the ministry’s commitment to transparent and accountable public financial management.
The audit report was officially presented during the submission of the Audit Report on the Ministry of Forestry’s 2025 Financial Statements at the BPK RI Auditorium in Jakarta on August 4. Minister of Forestry Raja Juli Antoni attended the ceremony alongside senior government officials.
The annual audit forms part of BPK’s constitutional mandate to examine the management and accountability of state finances. The Unqualified Opinion is the highest audit assessment issued by the Supreme Audit Agency, indicating that the ministry’s financial statements are presented fairly in accordance with applicable government accounting standards.
According to the Ministry of Forestry, the achievement reflects continued efforts to strengthen financial governance based on the principles of transparency, accountability, integrity, and good governance. The ministry said the audit process also reinforces institutional cooperation with BPK to ensure that state budget spending delivers optimal public benefits while supporting sustainable forestry development.
The event also marked the presentation of audit reports to several other government institutions, including the Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas, the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, and the Indonesian Quarantine Agency.
The ceremony was attended by BPK leadership, cabinet ministers, heads of government agencies, and senior officials from the ministries and institutions receiving the audit reports.
The Ministry of Forestry stated that maintaining sound financial governance remains an important foundation for implementing national forestry policies and advancing sustainable forest management across Indonesia. (*)
