Enviro News Asia, Jakarta – The Minister of Environment (LH) and Head of the Environmental Control Agency (BPLH), Hanif Faisol Nurofiq, has encouraged the public to embrace the spirit of Eid al-Fitr as motivation to be more mindful in caring for the Earth and preserving the environment.
“Let us use the spirit of Eid al-Fitr as an inspiration to take better care of our planet, reduce waste, and maintain ecological balance,” said the Minister of Environment in an official statement received in Jakarta on Tuesday (April 1, 2025).
He hopes that the celebration of Eid al-Fitr 1446 Hijri brings joy and peace to everyone while also serving as a moment to enhance environmental awareness.
“This celebration of victory should also inspire and empower us all to continue protecting and preserving nature. It is a shared responsibility for a better future for the next generations,” he added.
The government, through the Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag) of the Republic of Indonesia, has officially announced that Eid al-Fitr 1 Shawwal 1446 Hijri will fall on Monday, March 31, 2025.
