Enviro News Asia, Jakarta — Indonesia’s Minister of Forestry, Raja Juli Antoni, presented the Financial Report for the 2024 Fiscal Year during a Working Meeting with Commission IV of the House of Representatives (DPR) on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, in Jakarta.
According to the report, the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK) recorded Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) amounting to IDR 8.33 trillion in 2024, equivalent to 111.22% of the target. This revenue consisted of IDR 6.74 trillion from Natural Resource PNBP and IDR 1.59 trillion from other sources.
Meanwhile, budget expenditure reached IDR 7.81 trillion, or 91.70% of the allocated budget. The breakdown included 99.27% realization in personnel spending, 87.94% in goods expenditure, and 91.67% in capital expenditure.
In his official statement, the Minister of Forestry reported that the Ministry’s total assets in 2024 amounted to IDR 17.41 trillion — an increase of 1.85% compared to 2023 — with total equity of IDR 17.31 trillion. He noted that a key future challenge would be managing an increase in liabilities, which rose by 12.11%.
The Minister also addressed findings by the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK RI) and the corrective actions being taken.
Since its merger with the Ministry of Environment, the Ministry has consistently received an Unqualified Opinion (WTP) from BPK-RI for the 2018–2024 period, although there were notes for improvement in the areas of PNBP and asset management.
In response to the presentation, Chair of Commission IV, Titiek Soeharto, acknowledged the Minister’s explanation of the Central Government Financial Report (LKPP) for the 2024 Fiscal Year and the BPK RI’s audit findings on KLHK’s financial report, which again received an Unqualified Opinion.
Commission IV also urged the Ministry of Forestry to follow up on BPK RI’s findings to ensure the continued achievement of the Unqualified Opinion status. (*)
