Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia Reviews Computer-Based Written Exam Implementation at UPNVJ

Enviro News Asia, Jakarta — The Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia conducted a working visit to Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) to directly review the implementation of the 2025 Computer-Based Written Exam for the National Selection Based on Tests (UTBK-SNBT), on Thursday, April 24, 2025.

The visit was led by Ombudsman RI member Indraza Marzuki Rais, who was warmly received by UPNVJ Rector, Prof. Dr. Anter Venus, MA. Comm., along with the university leadership team. The purpose of the visit was to ensure the UTBK-SNBT was conducted in accordance with principles of transparency, accountability, and established procedures.

UPNVJ Rector Anter Venus expressed his appreciation for the attention and support of the Ombudsman RI towards the implementation of this national selection. “The presence of the Ombudsman represents a form of positive external oversight, helping us maintain the quality and integrity of the UTBK-SNBT test center,” said Prof. Venus in his official statement on Thursday, April 24, 2025.

Meanwhile, Indraza Marzuki Rais stated that UPNVJ had demonstrated strong readiness in conducting the 2025 UTBK-SNBT. “Overall, the implementation at UPNVJ was orderly and followed proper procedures. We also appreciate the transparency of the information provided to both participants and the public,” he said.

Indraza urged all parties involved, both at the central and university levels, to maintain high standards. He also offered a message to participants, encouraging them to uphold honesty and smooth conduct during the exam. “We hope all participants maintain honesty and integrity while working on their tests. Best of luck, and may you achieve the results you aim for,” he added.

During the visit, the Ombudsman RI team observed various technical aspects of the exam implementation, including infrastructure readiness, participant arrival flow, identity verification processes, exam monitoring systems, and measures to anticipate potential technical issues. The team also engaged in discussions with participants and local organizers to identify any emerging concerns.

The inspection was carried out by six Ombudsman RI members, accompanied by UPNVJ Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Dr. Henry Binsar, UTBK-SNBT Implementation Coordinator Fajar Nugroho, and Monitoring & Evaluation Coordinator Lidya Primta Surbakti, SE.M.Si.Ak, CA., Ph.D.

The 2025 UTBK-SNBT at UPNVJ is being attended by thousands of participants from various regions across Indonesia. The exam is held in several sessions starting from April 23, 2025, under strict protocols to ensure the safety and comfort of all participants.

UPNVJ remains committed to continuously improving the quality of higher education services and ensuring a transparent national selection process for prospective students.
