Jakarta, November 28, 2024 – Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper and Pabrik Kertas Tjiwi Kimia, both part of the APP Group, received the Best Public Company 2024 awards in the Forestry & Paper Industry category at the Indonesia Best Public Company Awards 2024. This recognition highlights the exceptional performance of the companies in stock trading and positive fundamentals over the past two years.

Suhendra further emphasized that the award reflects APP Group’s ongoing efforts to implement ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) principles, aligned the conglomerate’s Sustainability Roadmap Vision (SRV) 2030, and contribute to Indonesia’s economic growth. With Indonesia’s economy growing by 3.79% in Q2 2024 and a significant rise in investment, the pulp and paper industry holds vast potential.
As part of its sustainability initiatives, Tjiwi Kimia operates a 9.8 MWp solar power plant, reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 12,400 tons of CO2 annually. This initiative supports APP Group’s strategy to lower its carbon footprint. Meanwhile, Indah Kiat has implemented various CSR programs in environmental, economic, and social fields, fostering 148 MSMEs—primarily women empowerment initiatives around its plants in Perawang – Riau, Serang, and Tangerang – Banten.
