Enviro News Asia, Manado — The Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) and Universitas Sam Ratulangi (UNSRAT) Manado have officially established a strategic partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on October 10, 2025, at the UNSRAT Campus in Manado.
The MoU was signed by UPNVJ Rector, Prof. Dr. Anter Venus, M.A., Comm., and UNSRAT Rector, Prof. Dr. Ir. Oktovian Berty Alexander Sompie, M.Eng., IPU, ASEAN Eng., witnessed by the leadership teams of both universities.
This collaboration encompasses key areas within the Tri Dharma of Higher Education—education, research, and community service. The scope of the MoU includes faculty and student exchanges, joint research projects, co-hosted seminars, curriculum enhancement, and institutional capacity building.
“This partnership is a strategic step toward realizing UPNVJ’s vision as an innovative and globally competitive university. We will follow up with concrete programs that deliver real impact to society,” said Prof. Anter Venus.
Meanwhile, UNSRAT Rector Prof. Oktovian Sompie emphasized that this partnership represents an opportunity to strengthen synergy among public universities.
“This collaboration will foster a more innovative and collaborative academic ecosystem to address global challenges across various fields,” he stated.
The event also featured a strategic discussion on implementing cooperation at the faculty and study program levels, particularly in economics, business, technology, and social-humanities fields.
