UPNVJ Rector Commits to Best Solution for Non-Civil Servant Permanent Staff Status

Enviro News Asia, Jakarta – Concerns raised by some non-civil servant (non-ASN) lecturers at Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta (UPNVJ) regarding their employment status have drawn serious attention from the university leadership. Rector of UPNVJ, Prof. Dr. Anter Venus, has pledged to find the best solution. This commitment is being realized through intensive dialogue with staff members.

As a concrete step, UPNVJ has held a series of meetings to address the issue. The first meeting took place on September 19, 2025, at Merce, followed by a subsequent meeting on September 25, 2025. In these meetings, the Rector emphasized that the employment status issue at UPNVJ, as a State University with Public Service Agency status (PTN BLU), is not solely a university matter but is linked to the government’s broader policy on staffing arrangements across state institutions.

On Tuesday, September 30, Rector Anter Venus expressed his optimism that the best solution could be achieved through collaboration with various stakeholders, including relevant ministries. “We are committed to finding the best solution for the lecturers who have been valuable assets and have contributed significantly to UPNVJ’s development,” the Rector stated in an official release.

With this commitment, UPNVJ strives to create a more harmonious academic environment for its academic community. Strong coordination and collaboration with related stakeholders are expected to accelerate the resolution of employment status issues, thereby supporting improvements in the quality of education at UPNVJ.(ww.upnvj.ac.id)
