UPNVJ Establishes Collaboration for Community Empowerment

Enviro News Asia, Jakarta – Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ), through its Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM), held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and signed a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) with the Pondok Labu Sub-district.

The event, which took place in the Nusantara Room of the UPNVJ Rectorate Building on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, was attended by local government officials, the UPNVJ LPPM team, and community representatives.

The FGD aimed to identify priority issues in the Pondok Labu area while exploring the potential for collaboration in community service, applied research, and community empowerment.

“This reflects UPNVJ’s commitment to being present in the community and becoming part of the solution, whether through simple actions or strategic approaches,” said UPNVJ Rector Prof. Dr. Anter Venus, as conveyed in the university’s official statement.

This collaboration is part of the UPN Community Territory program, a community service scheme designed to realize the vision of an Impactful Campus.

On this occasion, the Cooperation Agreement was officially signed as a form of legal and mutual commitment between both parties to establish a strategic partnership based on the Tri Dharma of Higher Education.

The collaboration is expected to have a tangible impact on improving the quality of life for the people of Pondok Labu through academic and participatory approaches. *
