Enviro News Asia, Jakarta — The Faculty of Computer Science at Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta (UPNVJ) organized a workshop titled “International Journal Writing and Joint Research” from 8 to 11 December 2025. The program featured Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yun Huoy Choo from Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM) as the keynote speaker, aimed at strengthening lecturers’ capacity in reputable scientific publishing and initiating cross-country research collaboration. Held in the FIK UPNVJ meeting room, the workshop involved lecturers from the Diploma in Information Systems, Bachelor of Information Systems, and Bachelor of Data Science programs to enhance academic quality through effective writing strategies and collaborative research opportunities.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yun Huoy Choo—an accomplished scholar in machine learning, data analytics, and artificial intelligence—led the sessions, offering insights into international journal standards and collaborative research frameworks. As the Head of the CIT LAB Research Group at UTeM’s Faculty of Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity, she has produced 67 publications with 697 citations, making her an ideal mentor for participants.
The four-day workshop was conducted on Monday and Wednesday from 09:00–12:00 WIB, and on Tuesday and Thursday from 14:00–16:00 WIB, emphasizing in-depth understanding and practical application.
Dean of FIK UPNVJ, Dr. Supriyanto, M.T., stated that the initiative reflects the faculty’s commitment to advancing the university’s tridharma, particularly in research and publication.
