Enviro News Asia, Jakarta — The Ministry of Forestry held the 2026 Rimbawan Service Day reception at the Dr. Soedjarwo Auditorium, Manggala Wanabakti Building, Jakarta, on April 6, 2026. The event combined multiple agendas, including a Halal Bihalal gathering for Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah, Easter celebrations, and the launch of the Road to Hari Konservasi Alam Nasional (HKAN), reflecting efforts to improve institutional efficiency and coordination.

Raja Juli Antoni attended the event alongside Rohmat Marzuki and senior officials from across the ministry. In his remarks, the minister emphasized that integrating multiple activities into a single event demonstrates a commitment to efficiency and effectiveness in government operations.

He stated that consolidating various institutional agendas into one occasion reflects a practical approach to resource optimization while maintaining the quality of program implementation.

During the ceremony, the minister presented awards to the Disaster Response Team responsible for accelerating the clearance of flood debris in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra. The recognition was granted under Ministerial Decree No. 853 of 2025, acknowledging the team’s contribution to post-disaster environmental recovery.

Among the recipients were team leader K. Rahamadi, deputy leader Fahrizal Fitri, and regional coordinators including Subhan (Aceh), Novita Kusuma Wardani (North Sumatra), Ferdian Krinanto (Sumatra region), and Hartono (West Sumatra), representing various forestry and conservation agencies.

Laksmi Wijayanti, Director General of Sustainable Forest Management and Chair of the organizing committee, stated that the commemoration serves as a strategic moment to reinforce dedication, integrity, and professionalism among forestry personnel.

She emphasized that Rimbawan Service Day is not merely ceremonial, but a reminder of the responsibility to safeguard forests as a vital life-support system and to advance sustainable forestry development.

Carrying the theme “Sincere Work, Quality Governance, Foresters Building Sustainable Life,” the 2026 celebration highlights a shared commitment to transparent, accountable, and sustainability-oriented forest governance.

A series of activities has been organized as part of the commemoration, including social services, blood donation drives, simultaneous tree planting, innovation and creativity competitions, anti-corruption webinars, sports events, and a flag ceremony. These initiatives reflect the ministry’s focus on collaboration, social responsibility, and continuous institutional improvement. (*)
