Minister of Trade Inaugurates 55 High-Ranking Officials, Assigns Them to Optimize Government Activities

Enviro News Asia, Jakarta – Minister of Trade Budi Santoso inaugurated 55 employees as Primary High-Ranking Officials of the Ministry of Trade, or Echelon II Officials, on Thursday (February 6) at the Ministry of Trade office in Jakarta.

Minister of Trade Budi Santoso assigned the newly appointed officials to optimize government activities in the trade sector through the existing programs of the Ministry of Trade. This is to ensure that the Ministry of Trade can effectively support various government programs.

“Congratulations on your inauguration. Given the current situation, we must be able to optimize government activities in the trade sector through the existing programs at the Ministry of Trade,” said Budi Santoso. “I am confident that you can accomplish this, as long as it is done properly, sincerely, and wholeheartedly,” he added.

The inauguration was attended by Deputy Minister of Trade Dyah Roro Esti Widya Putri, along with Echelon I Officials and Expert Staff of the Minister of Trade. The event was based on the Minister of Trade Decrees No. 131, 132, 133, 134, and 136 of 2025.

A total of 35 Primary High-Ranking Officials were assigned to new positions through transfers and promotions. According to the Minister of Trade, these transfers and promotions are aimed at ensuring career development within the ministry. Meanwhile, 20 other officials were reaffirmed in their existing positions.

Budi Santoso reminded all Primary High-Ranking Officials of the Ministry of Trade to implement the ministry’s three flagship programs: Domestic Market Safeguarding Program, Export Market Expansion, and the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Innovation, Adaptation, and Export Readiness Program (UMKM BISA Ekspor).

“You are already familiar with the Ministry of Trade’s flagship programs. Let us work earnestly to realize and optimize these programs,” concluded the Minister of Trade.
