Türkiye Disburses TRY 1.6 Billion in Agricultural Support Payments

Enviro News Asia, Ankara — Türkiye’s Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, İbrahim Yumaklı, announced that the government has disbursed TRY 1.623 billion in agricultural support payments to farmers nationwide.

The payments are part of the government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen agricultural production and ensure the sustainability of the farming sector. The funds were transferred directly to farmers’ bank accounts.

Minister Yumaklı stated that the support reflects the government’s continued commitment to supporting producers and reinforcing sustainable agricultural practices. He emphasized that agricultural incentives remain a priority to enhance productivity and rural livelihoods.

The largest share of the support was allocated to beekeeping, followed by assistance for animal genetic resources, small ruminant farming, rural development investments, and certified seed production.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry noted that these payments aim to improve farmers’ income stability while supporting long-term food security and agricultural resilience.
