UPNVJ Emergency Response Team Conducts Mobile Clinic in Alu Putih Village on Fourth Day of Aceh Mission

Enviro News Asia, North Aceh — On the fourth day of its emergency response mission in Aceh, Team 2 of the Disaster Emergency Community Service Program (PKM) of Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta (UPNVJ) continued mobile clinic services in Alu Putih Village, within the working area of Lhok Beringeun Community Health Center.

The medical team was welcomed enthusiastically by local residents who required health services following the disaster but faced difficulties accessing healthcare facilities directly. Patients ranging from infants to elderly residents attended the mobile clinic to seek medical examinations and consultations.

UPNVJ’s healthcare personnel, consisting of doctors, nurses, and pharmacists, carried out structured medical services, including general physical examinations, blood pressure checks, and screenings for blood glucose, cholesterol, and uric acid levels. For infants and children, assessments included measurements of body weight and height. The team also provided wound care for patients in need and distributed medications according to individual medical conditions.

During the mobile clinic operation, a total of 42 patients received medical examinations, consultations, and treatment. The initiative aimed to ensure accessible healthcare services for disaster-affected communities while supporting post-disaster health recovery in North Aceh.

Dr. Ns. Arief Wahyudi Jadmiko, Head of the UPNVJ Disaster Emergency Response PKM Team for Sumatra, stated that the activity reflects UPNVJ’s commitment, in collaboration with the Directorate of Research and Community Service under the Directorate General of Research and Development of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, to directly serve communities in need and strengthen public health resilience in post-disaster conditions.
