UPNVJ Rector: Second-Best IKU Achievement Drives Innovation among BLU State Universities

Enviro News Asia, Jakarta — Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta (UPNVJ) received the Anugerah Pendidikan Tinggi Diktisaintek 2025 in the category of State Universities with Public Service Agency Status (PTN BLU), Sub-category Second-Best Main Performance Indicator (IKU) Achievement for 2024. The award recognizes UPNVJ’s consistent efforts to improve education quality and strengthen its social impact.

The Rector of UPNVJ, Anter Venus, stated that the achievement serves as a momentum to accelerate institutional transformation so the university can deliver broader and more tangible benefits to society and the nation.

According to Prof. Venus, the award reflects collective work by the entire academic community in transforming governance, enhancing academic quality, and strengthening the implementation of the university’s three core missions of education, research, and community service. These efforts contributed to progress across key strategic indicators, including graduate employability, collaboration with industry and the business sector, the involvement of practitioner lecturers, applied research development, and adaptive and accountable institutional management.

He emphasized that the achievement aligns with policies of the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology (Diktisaintek), which prioritize the real contribution of universities to national development.

“This award acknowledges UPNVJ’s seriousness in implementing the Main Performance Indicators not merely as administrative requirements, but as instruments oriented toward real impact for students, society, and the nation,” Prof. Venus said.

He added that the recognition should not be viewed as an endpoint, but rather as a catalyst for continuous improvement. UPNVJ, he noted, remains committed to expanding collaboration and ensuring that every academic and institutional program generates public value.

“We see this appreciation as a mandate to maintain performance consistency. Transformation must continue so that our impact becomes increasingly meaningful,” he stressed.

Through this achievement, UPNVJ reaffirmed its position as a PTN BLU committed not only to meeting performance indicators, but also to strengthening the strategic role of higher education in producing high-quality human resources with strong Bela Negara values, ready to contribute at both national and global levels.
