UPNVJ Strengthens Commitment to Preparing Globally Competitive Graduates

Enviro News Asia, Jakarta – Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) continues to demonstrate its commitment to enhancing the quality and competitiveness of its graduates in the digital era. One of its strategic initiatives includes providing free international Microsoft certification opportunities for active students across various faculties.

The certification program was participated in by 708 students from the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Faculty of Law (FH), Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), Faculty of Computer Science (FIK), and Faculty of Engineering (FT), consisting of undergraduate and diploma students from the 2022, 2023, and 2024 cohorts.

Two types of certifications were offered: Microsoft Excel Specialist (Excel) and Information Technology Specialist – Data Analytics. Through this program, UPNVJ aims to integrate information technology and data analysis skills as core competencies among students amid the rapid digital transformation.

The initiative is a result of collaboration between UPNVJ and Multimatics, an internationally licensed training institution specializing in information technology and digital certification. Through this partnership, students gain access to globally recognized exams with certificates issued directly by Microsoft Corporation.

“Multimatics facilitates this certification program. We are honored to collaborate once again with UPNVJ this year. The certificates participants receive are issued directly by Microsoft,” said Dinda Maulida, a Multimatics mentor, in an interview with the UPNVJ Public Relations Team.

Before taking the main exam, all participants underwent pre-tests and intensive tutorials to understand the format and content of the globally standardized certification exams. The examinations were conducted offline at the Pondok Labu Campus over two days, from October 30–31, 2025, in the Soetomo Building and the Library’s second floor.

On the first day, seven sessions of the Microsoft Excel Certification Exam were held with 508 participants, while on the second day, three sessions of the Data Analytics Certification Exam were conducted with 200 participants. Each session lasted one hour to ensure an orderly and well-scheduled process.

Participants were required to achieve a minimum score of 700 points to pass the certification. Exam results were available immediately after completion through the Certiport platform, which provides real-time feedback.

“For certificates, participants can download them independently via the Certiport website,” Dinda explained during the pre-exam briefing session.

Through this certification initiative, UPNVJ seeks to promote digital transformation and enhance students’ global competencies by equipping them with 21st-century skills relevant to industry demands. The university hopes this program will produce a generation ready to compete both nationally and internationally, with professional credibility recognized in the global job market. (www.upnvj.ac.id)
