DUBAI, United Arab Emirates – Government officials and coastal industry representatives will gather in Dubai on Nov. 9-10, 2026, to discuss sustainable coastal infrastructure, marine conservation and the blue economy.
The third Sustainable Coastal Development and Ocean Action MENA Forum, known as the Coast MENA Forum, will take place at Le Méridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre, according to organizer Great Minds Group (GMEvents).
GMEvents said the two-day event would address coastal development challenges across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), bringing together policymakers, developers, port authorities, environmental agencies, researchers and technology providers.
The agenda covers six themes, including climate-resilient coastal infrastructure and waterfront development, nature-based solutions for shoreline protection and ecosystem restoration, and the sustainable management and financing of marine resources.
Other sessions will examine materials and technologies for sustainable coastal construction, marine biodiversity conservation, and the engineering challenges associated with coastal erosion and land reclamation. Coral reef restoration and mangrove protection will also feature in the discussions.
The organizer said the forum would examine these issues in the context of coastal infrastructure projects ranging from artificial islands and waterfront developments to port expansion and marine conservation initiatives.
Participants are expected to include representatives of government ministries, municipalities, engineering and environmental consultancies, and academic institutions. The event will also bring together professionals from the oil and gas, energy and utility sectors.
GMEvents is a Dubai-based conference and events company that organizes forums on infrastructure, energy, the environment and the built environment across the MENA region. The forum aims to connect policy, investment and technical expertise as participants explore approaches to coastal development that support infrastructure needs and the protection of marine ecosystems.
