Enviro News Asia, Jakarta – APP Group supported the 2026 Ramadan Bazaar organized by the Ministry of Industry of Indonesia by donating 1,000 copies of the Quran to be distributed to ministry employees, mosques, and communities in need.
The bazaar, held at the Industrial Exhibition Plaza in Jakarta, was organized by the Directorate General of Agro Industry of the Ministry of Industry of Indonesia as part of efforts to provide affordable daily necessities while promoting domestic industrial products ahead of the Eid al-Fitr celebration.
Acting Director General of Agro Industry Putu Juli Ardika said the event aims to help the public access essential goods at more affordable prices while also expanding the promotion of national industrial products.
“This exhibition is intended to provide various necessities for the public at more affordable prices while serving as a platform to introduce and promote national industrial products to the wider community,” he said.
Putu Juli Ardika added that the bazaar received support from various partners, including APP Group, which contributed 1,000 copies of the Quran for distribution to employees, mosques, and communities in need.
Meanwhile, APP Group Director Suhendra Wiriadinata stated that the donation is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to support access to Qurans in Indonesia while strengthening the spirit of sharing during the holy month of Ramadan.
“Through this donation of 1,000 copies of the Quran, we hope to help meet the needs for Qurans in Indonesia while providing benefits for employees, mosques, and communities who need them. For APP Group, Quran endowment programs are part of our long-term commitment to share positive values and strengthen collaboration with various stakeholders,” he said.
In addition to the Quran donation, APP Group together with Sinar Mas also sold 3,000 liters of cooking oil at a special price during the bazaar.
APP Group’s Quran endowment initiative is part of the company’s ongoing social commitment. Since 2008, together with other business pillars of Sinar Mas, the company has donated more than 1.4 million copies of the Quran across Indonesia through partnerships with religious institutions, educational organizations, community groups, and the Indonesian military and police, including in remote regions of the country.
