Enviro News Asia, Jakarta — Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta participated in the National Seminar titled Innovative and Impactful Universities for Advanced Indonesia 2045, organized by the Indonesian Teachers Association in Central Jakarta on 20 May 2026.
The seminar brought together representatives from universities, education stakeholders, academics, and practitioners to strengthen the role of higher education institutions in supporting Indonesia’s long-term national development vision toward Indonesia Emas 2045.
UPNVJ was represented by Head of the Institute for Quality Development and Learning Development (LPMPP) Satria Yudhia W., Head of the Academic Division Oki Putra Budiarahman, and Head of the UPNVJ Public Relations Working Team Dr. Firdaus Noor.
A total of 163 participants from 80 universities attended the forum, reflecting the growing importance of collaboration among higher education institutions in responding to rapid social, technological, and workforce transformations.
The seminar featured Fauzan as the keynote speaker. During the event, participants discussed strategies to transform universities into learning spaces that are innovative, adaptive, safe, and globally competitive.
The discussions emphasized that universities should not merely adapt to change, but actively develop transformative and reflective learning systems capable of preparing future-ready graduates.
Participants highlighted the importance of strengthening critical thinking, creativity, social-emotional skills, technological literacy, and transferable skills to meet the demands of the future labor market.
The forum also underlined the growing need for reskilling and upskilling capabilities within higher education systems to prepare graduates for rapidly evolving industries driven by digital transformation and technological advancement.
According to the seminar discussions, universities are expected to produce graduates who not only possess academic excellence but are also capable of solving complex societal problems, collaborating across disciplines, creating innovation, and contributing to social transformation.
UPNVJ stated that its participation in the national seminar reflects the university’s ongoing commitment to strengthening educational governance, improving academic quality, and supporting impactful higher education transformation in Indonesia.
