Enviro News Asia, Depok – AIESEC in UPNVJ held Impact Circle 8.0, themed “Beyond Borders: Career Readiness in a Global Changing World,” at Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta’s Limo Campus in Depok on Saturday, bringing together students and young professionals for a full-day program centered on Sustainable Development Goal 8 on decent work and economic growth.
Running from 9 a.m. to 2:15 p.m., the event offered a mix of seminars, interactive discussions, an artificial intelligence workshop, and curriculum vitae review sessions, designed to equip young people with the skills and mindset needed to navigate an increasingly competitive, borderless, and technology-driven job market.
The event was organized in collaboration with Bangor and several other partners, and featured speakers from diverse professional backgrounds representing Generation Girl, Hangry, Bluebird, and Global Volunteer alumni networks. Speakers shared insights on career development, leadership, industry transformation, and the value of cross-cultural experience in building a global mindset.
The AI workshop gave participants hands-on exposure to technology tools applicable to career development and productivity, while the CV review session provided individualized feedback on crafting professional documents aligned with current labor market expectations, considered by many attendees to be among the most practical takeaways of the day.
As an international youth-led organization, AIESEC grounds its programs in values of leadership, diversity, integrity, and sustainability. Impact Circle 8.0 was designed to support young people in becoming more confident and active contributors to an inclusive, adaptive, and sustainable workplace ecosystem.
For UPNVJ, the initiative aligns with the university’s identity as a State Defense Campus committed to producing graduates who are adaptive, competent, and socially responsible, reinforcing its institutional commitment to preparing students not only for the workforce but also for meaningful contribution to society and national development.
