ADPIKI to Inaugurate Southeast Sulawesi Chapter, Launch Campus Outreach Program

Enviro News Asia, Kendari — The Indonesian Association of Communication Science Lecturers and Researchers (ADPIKI) will inaugurate its Southeast Sulawesi chapter while launching its “ADPIKI Goes to Campus” program through a series of academic events at Halu Oleo University (UHO) and Muhammadiyah University (UM) Kendari.

ADPIKI Chairman Dr. Heri Budianto is scheduled to visit Kendari to officially install the Southeast Sulawesi executive board for the 2026–2031 term at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) Hall, Halu Oleo University, on July 30.

The newly inaugurated regional chapter will be led by La Ode M. Nasir, an academic from Nahdlatul Ulama University of Southeast Sulawesi (UNUSRA) and the founder as well as President Director of the online news portal Telisik.id.

Following the inauguration ceremony, Heri Budianto will deliver the keynote address at the ADPIKI Goes to Campus program hosted by Halu Oleo University.

The event will also feature presentations by communication experts and media practitioners, including Dr. Dwi Firmansyah, who will discuss television journalism in the era of media convergence, and Sofia Aunul, who will present a session on transmedia journalism.

Later the same day, Heri Budianto will continue the ADPIKI Goes to Campus program at Muhammadiyah University Kendari, where he will again serve as keynote speaker.

The second session will include presentations by Dr. Ira Purwita Sari on building brands through visual communication and Dr. Sabena on the importance of public speaking for personal and professional development.

Established as a national organization for communication scholars and researchers, ADPIKI aims to strengthen the implementation of the three pillars of higher education—education, research, and community service—while promoting academic excellence in communication studies across Indonesia.

The association was officially established during its national declaration at the IPB International Convention Center in Bogor, West Java, on May 7, 2026, with Heri Budianto serving as chairman for the 2026–2031 term. (*)
