Enviro News Asia, New York — The 2025 New York City Marathon took place on Sunday, November 2, 2025, attracting 59,662 runners from around the world, making it the largest marathon globally.
Covering a distance of 42 kilometers, the race started on Staten Island and finished at Central Park, Upper Manhattan.
The marathon also featured several international celebrities, including American TV personality Matt James, British actor Oliver Phelps, American actor Anthony Ramos, Australian actress Claire Holt, and television figure Carl Radke.
Among the participants were 15 alumni of the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) from Indonesia, proudly representing their alma mater in one of the most prestigious marathon events in the world. (*)
