Enviro News Asia, Songkhla — Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) strengthened its international presence by participating in the Indonesia Education Fair (IEF) 2025, held at the Parichat Auditorium, Thaksin University, Songkhla, Thailand, on 13–14 November 2025.
Led by the Head of the International Affairs Office (KUI) UPNVJ, Dr. Bambang Susanto, MA, the delegation from the university known for its state-defense values used this education exhibition to promote its flagship study programs, showcase academic innovations, and explore cross-university collaboration opportunities. This participation also marked a strategic step in enhancing UPNVJ’s global exposure and supporting its vision of becoming a globally competitive institution.
At the exhibition booth, UPNVJ presented faculty profiles, international programs, and consultation sessions for visitors, consisting largely of students, university representatives, and education institutions in Thailand. During the main stage presentation, UPNVJ highlighted its academic innovations and various study opportunities for international students. Collaborative discussion forums further opened avenues for student and faculty exchange programs, joint research, dual-degree initiatives, and summer courses.
In addition to attending the exhibition, Dr. Bambang held networking sessions and institutional visits to Thaksin University and Prince of Songkhla University, while also exploring diplomatic cooperation with the Indonesian Consulate in Songkhla and the Indonesian Embassy in Bangkok. These engagements form part of Indonesia’s education diplomacy in Southeast Asia and pave the way for sustainable Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) and Memoranda of Agreement (MoA).
UPNVJ’s participation in IEF 2025 aimed not only to expand its regional network but also to benchmark global best practices in higher education. Through this initiative, UPNVJ hopes to strengthen academic mobility, research collaboration, and the overall quality of national education.
This commitment reaffirms UPNVJ’s strategic move to advance the internationalization of higher education and strengthen Indonesia–Thailand bilateral relations through cooperation in education and research. (www.upnvj.ac.id)
