GGGI and Comoé Partners SARL Partner to Support Youth-Led Green Entrepreneurship in Côte d’Ivoire

Enviro News Asia, Abidjan — The Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) and Comoé Partners SARL have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a strategic partnership aimed at supporting the development and financing of youth-led green enterprises in Côte d’Ivoire.

The MoU was signed by Malle Fofana, Deputy Executive Director of GGGI, and Djibril Doumbia, Managing Director of Comoé Partners SARL. The agreement formalises collaboration to promote inclusive and sustainable green growth while expanding employment opportunities for young entrepreneurs.

The partnership will be implemented under GGGI’s Youth Economic and Livelihood Empowerment through Green Entrepreneurship and Digital Transformation (GENIE) Programme, including the Greenpreneur Fund initiative. It reflects a shared commitment to strengthening the national green entrepreneurship ecosystem through targeted investment, capacity building, and ecosystem development.

Recognising the growing importance of green and digital entrepreneurship in driving economic transformation and climate resilience, the collaboration will combine GGGI’s technical expertise in green growth policy, incubation, and capacity development with Comoé Partners’ investment, business advisory, and post-investment support capabilities.

Key areas of cooperation include the establishment of financing and co-investment mechanisms for green startups and small and medium-sized enterprises emerging from the Greenpreneur incubation pipeline, capacity building and technical assistance in green growth, climate technology, and digital entrepreneurship, as well as project pipeline development and deal flow facilitation for investment-ready enterprises.

The partnership will also focus on ecosystem building and network matchmaking through joint pitch events, demo days, and knowledge-sharing platforms, with the aim of improving access to finance and markets for youth-led green businesses.

Through this collaboration, both institutions expect to contribute to the emergence of a new generation of green entrepreneurs capable of creating sustainable jobs, fostering innovation, and supporting Côte d’Ivoire’s transition towards a low-carbon and inclusive economy.

The Memorandum of Understanding is concluded for an initial period of two years and may be supplemented by additional agreements detailing specific activities and implementation arrangements. (*)
