Ministry of Forestry Reaffirms Integrity and Governance Reforms at 2025 HAKORDIA Commemoration

Enviro News Asia, Jakarta — The Ministry of Forestry hosted the 2025 National Anti-Corruption Day (HAKORDIA) Commemoration in Jakarta on Wednesday, 10 December 2025, under the theme “Unite Actions, Eradicate Corruption: For Sustainable Forests, Continuous Development, and Community Welfare.” Minister of Forestry Raja Juli Antoni led the event, which was attended by Deputy Minister Rohmat Marzuki, Echelon I and II officials, and heads of technical units across the ministry.

Minister Raja Antoni called on all ministry personnel to use the commemoration as a collective moment of reflection. He expressed deep condolences for the recent disasters affecting several regions in Sumatra and emphasized the need for heightened caution and responsibility in carrying out duties. He stated that the recent events serve as a reminder to strengthen internal evaluations and ensure that every action contributes meaningfully to environmental protection and public welfare.

The minister underscored the urgency of reinforcing integrity and improving governance within the forestry sector. He noted that anti-corruption efforts must rely not only on personal commitment but also on systemic reforms that enable each working unit to perform effectively. He emphasized that personal integrity and structural improvements must advance in tandem to produce sustainable impact.

During the ceremony, the ministry presented the 2025 Integrity-Based Work Unit Award to seven units that demonstrated strong progress in developing Integrity Zones. The 2024 Bureaucratic Reform Team Award was also conferred to recognize achievements in improving the bureaucratic reform index and earning positive evaluations from oversight institutions. Minister Raja Antoni acknowledged the collective hard work of all teams and expressed his appreciation for their dedication.

The event continued with the signing of the Integrity Zone Development Commitment by ministry leaders and heads of technical units, marking a key step in reinforcing a post-reorganization work culture within the Ministry of Forestry. The minister reminded attendees that shared commitment is essential to upholding trust, improving processes, and elevating public service quality.

Minister Raja Antoni concluded by encouraging all personnel to strengthen solidarity in safeguarding integrity and enhancing public service delivery. He urged the ministry to unite in building a more transparent, accountable, and service-oriented institution, asserting that even the smallest improvements contribute to the long-term preservation of Indonesia’s forests.
