Enviro News Asia, Jakarta – Prospective new students of Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta (UPNVJ) for the 2025 academic year have now entered the data verification stage.
During this stage, students will have their photographs taken for student ID cards, and they will also receive their alma mater jackets and other student necessities.
This process applies to all incoming UPNVJ students admitted through the Seleksi Nasional Berdasarkan Prestasi (SNBP), Seleksi Nasional Berdasarkan Tes – Ujian Tulis Berbasis Komputer (SNBT-UTBK), and the Seleksi Mandiri (SEMA) admission paths.
The verification is scheduled to take place from August 5 to 7, 2025, and is centralized at UPNVJ’s Pondok Labu campus in South Jakarta.
After completing this step, students will proceed to take part in a series of activities under the Pengenalan Kehidupan Kampus bagi Mahasiswa Baru (PKKMB) or Introduction to Campus Life for New Students.
Therefore, the data verification is not merely an administrative requirement but also an early opportunity for students to build a connection with the university environment. It also serves as a preparation for their academic journey at this Bela Negara (Defending the Nation) campus.
Arisandi Nugraha, Coordinator of Data and Equipment for the 2025 New Student Admissions, emphasized that the data verification process is mandatory, as the Pangkalan Data Pendidikan Tinggi (PDDikti or Higher Education Database) requires the submitted data to be accurate.
“This data verification is compulsory because all entered data must be validated,” said Arisandi. Examples of such data include the National Student Identification Number (NISN), biological mother’s name, National Identity Number (NIK), and consistency of the name with the diploma.
Therefore, prospective students are required to bring photocopies of their family card (KK) and identity card (KTP). “This data validation is very important, because if there are any mistakes, correcting them is a complicated and time-consuming process,” Arisandi added.
A total of 1,170 prospective students have been accepted to study across various faculties at UPNVJ, with 1,132 having already completed the verification. Students still have time until Thursday, August 7, 2025, to complete the data verification process. (*)
